In time honored tradition (okay, I’ve only done it with one sibling so far, but it will become a tradition),  it’s time to dedicate a post to the birthday boy… my youngest brother, Christopher.

Christopher is 12 year old today.  I can’t believe he’s already that old.  I remember oh-so-clearly the first time I ever saw him laying in his little cradle, and he was oh-so-tiny… and precious… and beautiful.  Time really does fly…

My family adopted Christopher when I was almost 17 years old.  He was not even 1 week old.  I can’t remember what it was like before he was around, and I had a good many years under my belt by the time he popped into our lives!

His best qualities are that he is compassionate, and is very good with preschool-aged children.  The second is especially important since he is an uncle to 2 two-year olds, 2 one-year olds, and 2 babies!

In true “tween-age” standards, he can also be a little bit of a punk and annoyance, but these are traits that are temporary… and usually grown out of later on.

I am so very grateful that God chose us to be his family.  I can’t imagine what our lives would be like if he wasn’t around.  Maybe a little less hectic, but also much less entertaining!

So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRISTOPHER!!!  I hope you have a great day.
