it was bound to happen

Artwork on the wall.

Yesterday while I was in the kitchen putting together dinner casseroles Rachel and Eli were in the playroom coloring at the picnic table.  Rachel comes out, says, “Mommy, I need a paper towel”.  I ask “why”?  She responds, “to clean up my mess”.  Sweet child had decided the coloring book was a little too limiting, and expanded her artistic vision to encompass the wall next to the table.

At least she knew she made a mistake right after it happened!

I didn’t yell.  Nope, sure didn’t.  We just had a talk about how we do NOT color on the walls with our crayons.

My sister said Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders for that sort of thing.  I need to go get one.  Even though they are “washable” crayons, trying to wash it off of a textured wall just produces a sort of smeary mess.  Hopefully Mr. Clean will do the trick.  Until then, I’m just enjoying the art.
