I must apologize. Apparently, some nasty, grinchy person hacked in to my blog yesterday and left some rant about wanting no more “hoopla”. Poor person… what a sad existence they must live. 🙂
Last night we had our small group from church over for a little party. It was so much fun! We’ve now spent about 3 months together, but have never had the chance to cut loose and really see different sides of people’s personalities.
The kids made Christmas cards for the Adopt-a-Grandparent lady we’re taking items to on Sunday. They made a complete destruction in my “formal” dining area. They also had a ton of fun, and got really creative.
The adults played the goofy version of the White Elephant. Tooooo funny. I ended up with a set of snowman coasters that are actually pretty cute. Matt, on the other hand, ended up with a gift set (3 different scents) of Bod Man cologne spray. It’s heinous smelling. I’m not sure why it is still on the market.
The grinchy person who hacked my blog was lurking at the party, but was reminded that it’s not really the hoopla that she despises, it’s the feeling of being overwhelmed by so much to do in such a short time. Everything will get done. Maybe on time (like gift-wrapping), maybe a little late (like sending out cards). Early, on time, or late… it doesn’t matter.
