Today is the 9th anniversary of my wedding day.
I was 22, fresh out of college, and about to move halfway across the country with my new husband.
It was a lovely day… although I do have to give most (like, 99%) of the credit to my mother. Due to the fact that my last semester of school was spent student teaching, I was basically an absentee planner. 🙂
Nine years of marriage have produced…
* more laughs than I can count
* 1 beautiful daughter
* 2 handsome sons
* 2 apartment, and 2 houses
* tears of anger, and tears of joy
* a deeper sense of what loyalty and commitment are
I can honestly say I love Matt more now than I did on our wedding day. It’s a different kind of love now. It’s born out of being each others’ soul mate, life partner, best friend. It’s born out of seeing each other through the “better” and the “worse”, through “richer” and “poorer”, through “sickness” and “health”.
I cannot imagine my life without him in it.
I guess that’s a good thing. 😉
