when it rains…

When it rains, IT POURS!

We found out today that our paperwork went from “Reviewed” to “Match Reviewed” today!  24 hours, y’all!

We expected it to be less time than the Review wait, but that wait was 76 days long!  I had no expectation of it being 24 hours to move from one step to the next!

So, here’s a prayer request, and the purpose of the post today.

We also found out that the government agency that processes international adoptions in China is having a mandatory “holiday”.  Every now and then this happens to help with the air quality in the large city it’s located in.

The agency will be closed from November 7th through November 12th.  I would love to have our LOA BEFORE the shut-down, but am officially hoping that it will be here by Thanksgiving. 🙂

And, that’s it!  Short post today, but wanted to keep everyone updated with the adoption stuff. 🙂

  1. yay! thanks so much for your posts! yesterday’s was really able to encourage a young friend of mine who is waiting patiently but needed the reminder to be open handed, palms up, releasing…..

  2. There is no point in learning more about walking with the Lord if you can’t share it with others. Knowing that it’s where I can encourage others blesses me. 🙂 Thanks for sharing that.

  3. I came across your blog and realized that we have the exact same dates!! Same LID, same “Reviewed”, same “Match Reviewed”!! So, I just thought you should know, I’m praying right along with you for that hard copy before the shutdown. Who knows, maybe we’ll end up traveling at the same time. 🙂

  4. That’s fun to know, Beth! It’s exciting to think that some of the people I have been making connections with during this process might be with us when we travel. 🙂
