July Gifts {Day One}

Life is crazy right now.  Summer is in full swing and our first summer as a family of six is proving to be quite an experience.  Blogging is falling to the wayside mainly because I don’t have enough coherent thoughts to THINK about, much less WRITE, you know?? 😉

Last night I was praying with a  friend, and part of what came from the time was the Lord gently reminding me to give thanks. Giving thanks.  Pausing to reflect.  Stopping the frantic rush to make it to the end of the day sane (or mostly so).

I don’t find it easy to slow my pace and breath deeply, and so when I saw this pop up on my newsfeed today, I thought it was perfect timing.

Because, you know, today has been long and I’m needy for the joy that comes when thanks is given.

challenge is ON!
challenge is ON!

Day One:  Three Gifts Loved

Bows on the heads of new daughters! This was Day One with Julianne, so it's fitting that it's first in line on Day One of this challenge!
A bow on the head of our new daughter! This was Day One with Julianne, so it’s fitting that it’s first up in line on Day One of this challenge!  Gosh, she has changed SO much since the day this picture was taken…
Family. All of us. Plus bluebonnets.

Yes, another one of Julianne. But this sass. I love it. It drives me crazy, but I love it. True story.
Yes, another one of Julianne. But this sassy little attitude!  I love it. It drives me crazy, but I love it. True story.

How about you?  Want to take the challenge with me?  I may not make it every day, but grace and thanksgiving go hand-in-hand pretty well.
