July Gifts {Day Two}

This morning has been a Romans 8:26-27 morning for me.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.  And he who searches our hearts knows that mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

I think many days I will wait until the end of the day to count my gifts, to remember the goodness of the Lord shown to me.  But today?  Today I need to do it now.  There are things that even if I could talk about them, I couldn’t, because there are no words for the groanings of my heart.

So today?  My Three Gifts Read are not all books, although I am a big fan of books.  They are things that my eyes found early this morning, things I’ve placed in our house and on our walls as reminders, and today they are reminders of the best sort.

The Word. Truth. I believe it.

The Word.  Truth.  I believe it.

My sister painted this on our wall for us. When I have no strength, He is my strength. And more than that, He is my song. Because my soul can sing despite having no words.

My sister painted this on our wall for us.  When I have no strength, He is my strength.  And more than that, He is my song because my soul can sing despite having no words.

My song...

My song.

Thank you, God, for these gifts today.
